What rebirth is for

In incremental games like +1 Tall to Escape, rebirth trades some current progress for a stronger future multiplier. Exact keep/loss rules and numeric boosts live in the in-game rebirth panel and can change with patches — this guide teaches how to decide, not a fake table of rebirth costs.

Read the rebirth panel carefully

Before every rebirth, open the UI and answer:

1. What boost do I gain (tall gain, wins, luck, permanent multiplier)?

A rebirth is “good” when:

Practically:

1. Estimate minutes to reclaim comfortable walking speed after reset.
2. Estimate how much faster you will earn after the boost.
3. If recovery looks like a small fraction of your next session, rebirth.
4. If recovery would eat your whole evening for a tiny boost text, wait and buy better foods first.

You do not need perfect math — directional estimates beat vibes.

Signals you waited too long

• Wins pile up with no meaningful shop targets left
• Each step feels strong but the rebirth boost has been affordable for ages
• You delay because you “like your current height number” more than your rate
• Friends with fewer minutes but more rebirths outpace your height per hour

Pride in a temporary height can cost permanent speed.

Signals you are too early

• You cannot explain the boost in one sentence
• You still have an obviously efficient food purchase available
• You just claimed group rewards and have not converted them yet
• Recovery would strand you unable to afford basic foods again

Early rebirth spam can feel productive while actually tanking fun.

Pre-rebirth checklist

• Claim social rewards / any real codes
• Spend only on upgrades that survive or help recovery (verify UI)
• Avoid panic cosmetic buys
• Move to a free private server for a calm reset
• Note pet loadout if pets are live (pets framework)
• Plan the first 15 minutes after rebirth using grow faster habits

Post-rebirth plan
